SFNet Charity 5k Run/Walk

Join us on our annual SFNet Fun Run/Walk, supporting the local Boys & Girls Club. This year we are donating to the Boys & Girls Club of the Austin Area. 

We’ll be running along Lady Bird Lake the morning of Wednesday, November 9, returning to the JW Marriot well ahead of the Opening Reception. Meet in the Main Lobby at 7:45 a.m. in appropriate running attire, the race will begin at 8:30 a.m. Stay for the check presentation at the end of the race, and then enjoy the breakfast buffet back at the hotel.

Your Convention registration confirmation email will include a link to the 5k signup form.

Community Food Drive

Join us as we pack food and personal items to donate to the Central Texas Food Bank. We’ll get started on Wednesday, Nov 9, at 11:30 a.m. in the 3rd floor exhibit area. We supply the items and bags, you provide the helping hands to put them together for families in need. We will be assembling until 2:00 p.m., you are welcome to stop in for a few minutes or as long as you wish to help.

Golf Outing at Barton Creek’s Fazio Canyons

Join us on Wednesday morning, November 9, for our golf outing at one of the top courses in Texas. Scenic views line this 7,153-yard course boasting the signature touch of Tom Fazio, the legendary golf course architect. This award-winning course offers numerous scenic holes lined with stately Red Oaks and Sycamore trees and features spectacular views of Austin’s Hill Country and Short Springs Branch, a bubbling limestone bed creek that meanders throughout the course. The 561-yard, par-5 finishing hole is tremendous and by all accounts rivaling Barton Creek’s #18 hole on the Foothills course. Fazio Canyons was the first resort course in Texas to be certified as an Audubon International Signature Sanctuary and was designated as a Certified Signature Sanctuary.

Date/Time: Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2022, shuttles depart at 6:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Fee: $355. You can include Golf in your Convention registration or contact Jeff at jwalsh@sfnet.com.

Club rentals are an additional $85 and must be booked in advance as there are limited quantities available. Look for the link to club rental information in your Convention registration confirmation. 

Shuttles will leave the JW Marriott Austin at 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday and our shotgun start at Barton Creek will be 8:30 a.m. Coffee and breakfast tacos will be available prior to boarding the shuttles and beverages will be available during the drive. To help keep the pace, we will play a scramble format. Contests will be held at various holes and winners will be announced during the Convention, see the SFNet Golf Outing Rules Sheet. Shuttles will begin bringing players back to the JW Marriott Austin around 1:30 p.m., well ahead of the Opening Reception.
