Haversine Funding Hires Gen Merritt-Parikh as President
By Businesswire
Haversine Funding, a leading financing provider to specialty finance companies, including asset-based lenders, factors, and equipment and inventory lenders, today announced the hiring of Gen Merritt-Parikh as President. Merritt-Parikh has more than 25 years of experience in asset-based lending and factoring and will be responsible for origination, underwriting, investment analysis and management and asset allocation strategy.
“I am thrilled to welcome Gen to the Haversine Funding team. Her extensive background is an excellent fit for our needs and will enable us to usher in the next phase of growth. We will work in tandem to further expand Haversine’s footprint and lending ecosystem,” said Stan Vukmer, CEO, Haversine Funding. “Given the current economic climate, more financing organizations are approaching us as banks clamp down on lending impacting businesses directly and their lenders. And, with alternative financing providers becoming more mainstream in this credit environment, these specialty finance providers are seeking additional funding sources to manage their growth.”
Merritt-Parikh was named Top Female Executive by Addison Magazine in 2015. Under her leadership, in 2016, her former company was ranked one of the Best Places to Work by The Dallas Business Journal. In 2018, as President of Allied Affiliated Funding, she led the company to a successful sale to a nationally chartered bank where she continued to manage that line of business for the bank. Merritt-Parikh was a Vistage C-Group Founding Member for more than five years along with being a former long-standing board member of the Dallas Finance Forum, co-chairing the annual golf tournament for almost ten years, which benefits the Ft. Hood 1st Cavalry Division Association’s scholarship fund. In addition, she is a speaker and designated subject matter expert for the International Factoring Association. She holds a bachelor of arts degree in business and economics from the University of Texas at Dallas.
“I am honored to join Haversine Funding during such a transitional and exciting time. Haversine has an impressive track record and has grown exponentially over the last few years. I am excited to help expand their organization and help other financing sources provide even more funding to companies nationwide,” said Gen Merritt-Parikh, president, Haversine Funding.
