Raphael Torres
Head of Originations, Commercial Services Group, Wells Fargo Commercial Banking
Raphael Torres, executive director, of the Commercial Services of Wells Fargo Commercial Banking, the factoring division of the bank. In this role, Torres leads the originations for the factoring business, which provides industry-specialized financing solutions, including factoring and asset-based lending, in areas such as apparel, footwear, housewares, home furnishings, government contractors, and staffing services.
A 25-year financing and banking veteran, Torres has held various senior management positions in his prior financial and banking companies. Prior to his current role, he was Head of Business Development at Access Capital, Inc. Raphael started his career at Wells Fargo in 2003 and quickly began surpassing performance targets due to exceptional relationship management and leadership skills. In addition, he has received numerous awards for his outstanding results driven work including: Forty Under Forty designee by SFNet in 2018, twice named Wells Fargo’s Team Member of the Year (2009 and 2012), achieved the company’s most prestigious award, The Golden Spoke Award in 2013. This all led to his promotion to the role of Group Head of Service Industries Lending Group in June 2016, leading the team responsible for providing financial solutions to the Staffing, Government Contracting, and Transportation industries throughout the U.S.
He holds a Master of Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University and Bachelor of Business Administration Summa Cum Laude from Florida International University.
