Webinar, "State Financial Disclosure Legislation: What You Don’t Know May Hurt You"
April 16, 2021 12:00 AM to 1:00 PM (Eastern Daylight Time)
Several states have either passed into law or introduced pending legislation imposing new and potentially challenging disclosure requirements on certain commercial financing transactions. Additional states are likely to follow suit as legislators set their sights on predatory lending practices, but in doing so, impact a far wider community.
Don’t be caught off guard by these “one size fits all” requirements that will most likely generate an environment that causes confusion to the borrowers, rather than more transparency.
SFNet, along with industry volunteers and legislative advocates, has worked tirelessly to achieve the best possible outcome for our members as these bills continue to pop up. On April 16, those who have been in the trenches fighting for the industry’s best interests will provide an overview and update on the current status of these laws/bills in California, New York and Connecticut, as well as at the federal level.
