Our Fireside Chat speaker is Suzanne Yoon.
Suzanne Yoon is the Founder and Managing Partner of Kinzie Capital Partners, a Chicago-based private equity firm that invests in lower middle market companies in the manufactured products, business services and consumer industries. She serves as Chair of the Investment and Executive Committees for Kinzie. Yoon has over 25 years of experience investing in and advising middle market companies and is a respected leader in the business and civic communities. She serves on several private company and civic boards, including as Board Chair of Kinzie’s portfolio companies and as Board Chair of the National Philanthropic Trust, a nearly $25B donor advised fund.
Yoon earned her B.A. in Economics from the University of Iowa and is an Executive Scholar of Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. The Wall Street Journal recognized her as a Top Female Deal Maker Shaping Private Equity's Present and Future in 2019; Mergers & Acquisitions named her one of the Most Influential Women in Mid-Market M&A in 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023; and Chicago United named her one of their Business Leaders of Color in 2021. Kinzie was also recognized by the Private Equity Women’s Investor Network (PEWIN) as the North American Female Founded Firm of the Year in 2020.
Sarah House is a managing director and senior economist for Wells Fargo’s Corporate and Investment Bank. Based in Charlotte, NC, she covers the U.S. macro economy, including the labor market, inflation trends, and monetary policy. Sarah frequently speaks about the economy to the national media, including The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg News, CNBC and National Public Radio. Prior to joining Wells Fargo in 2010, Sarah worked as a research associate for the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond.
Sarah earned a B.A. in economics from Tulane University in New Orleans and M.Sc. in local economic development from the London School of Economics. She has coauthored two books, Economic and Business Forecasting (2014) and Economic Modeling in the Post Great Recession Era (2017), both published by Wiley.
Sarah currently serves on the board for the Charlotte Economics Club, the local chapter of the National Association of Business Economics (NABE), and was president of the organization from 2020-2021. She is a member of NABE and has previously served as chair for the association’s healthcare industry committee.
