2025 Winter Leadership: Overcoming Objections and Pushback

Description

This 4‐hour session will enable participants to:

Differentiate stalls (delays) from objections (real obstacles)
Overcome objections at any point during an audit, pre‐implementation review or project Use listening and restatement to identify and overcome the source of objections.
Describe various conflict management styles and choose the most appropriate one for their situation Effectively deal with confrontations, pushback, and objections.

To optimize in‐session time, participants will be asked to complete the Thomas‐Kilmann Conflict Management self‐assessment and bring the results with them to class. The assessment requires 15 minutes or less to complete. At the end of the session, participants will identify takeaways and ways to measure progress in applying the techniques.
