NEW YORK — With over two decades of experience in complex commercial transactions and a focus on structured finance and securitization, Paul Cuccurullo has joined Stradley Ronon in the firm’s New York office. He arrives from Evergreen Residential Holdings LLC, a single-family residential (SFR) investment platform, where he most recently served as chief legal officer.
“In the complex commercial transaction landscape, the solution for a client is never cookie-cutter and can evolve quickly with emerging opportunities and challenges,” said David Joseph, co-chair of Stradley Ronon’s structured finance practice. “With the vantage point of having led legal teams in-house to provide business-first solutions, as well as having a law firm background, Paul has the vision and unique skillset to create a holistic blueprint for our clients.”
Paul will represent clients in matters involving financing, capital raising, residential and commercial real estate, structured finance and securitization – most recently focusing on the SFR space. As chief legal officer of Evergreen, he served in a multifaceted role driving legal strategy and execution, while overseeing the structuring of transactions, the creation and implementation of comprehensive company policies and procedures, and the proactive assessment and mitigation of risks. Prior, Paul served as a Senior Managing Director of The Amherst Group, a U.S. real estate investment, development and operating platform, overseeing a range of legal matters including commercial and residential real estate investments, fund management, securitizations, corporate governance, and daily operational matters, with a particular focus on RMBS and SFR matters. He also was previously with other well-known law firms advising financial institutions on complex transactions.
Paul’s arrival builds on the firm’s recent growth in New York, including the October 2024 addition of registered funds partner trio and this week’s arrival of a four-lawyer insurance/reinsurance litigation team in New York and Washington, D.C.
