Magistro brings 22 years of experience, more than 16 with M&T
BUFFALO, N.Y., March 4, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- M&T Bank (NYSE: MTB) has appointed Carmen Magistro as Northern Pennsylvania Regional President. Previously serving as M&T's Commercial Senior Group Manager for Northern Pennsylvania Commercial & Industrial, Magistro has assumed additional responsibilities to help strengthen M&T's presence in the community and enhance service to customers throughout the region.
In this expanded role, Magistro will partner closely with the Community Bank leadership team for Northern Pennsylvania while continuing to oversee M&T's commercial banking operations in the region. Magistro succeeds Phil Johnson, who announced his planned retirement at the end of 2024.

Magistro joined M&T Bank in 2009 and has more than 22 years of experience in the financial services industry, with expertise spanning commercial banking, business banking, and government banking. Throughout his tenure, he has been actively engaged in the community and involved with organizations such as the Greater Wilkes Barre Chamber of Commerce, Junior Achievement of NEPA, United Way of Wyoming Valley, Unico National Wilkes-Barre Chapter, Allied Services Greater Autism Classic, and Fine Arts Fiesta.
