UMB Capital Finance Strengthens Business Development Team with New Hire Doug Motl

Doug Motl joins UMB Capital Finance as Senior Vice President, Director of Originations to manage its rapidly expanding business development department initiatives. Doug will be responsible for leading the Asset Based Lending’s originations team as UMB continues to broaden its marketing efforts nationally across the Company’s platform.

Doug’s financial career began in public accounting with Arthur Andersen. Since then, he has amassed over 27 years of knowledge and experience in asset based lending and commercial finance. Prior to joining UMB, Doug served as National Head of Originations for Sterling National Bank in Dallas, Texas. His notable professional history also includes working at companies such as Fifth Third Bank, Bank of America and Comerica Bank. Doug is a graduate of Southern Methodist University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
