He helps small business owners have a centralized place to get financing.

Mark is proud of the RapidAdvance partnerships he has developed with SFNet members which ultimately meet the financing needs of clients and enhances their experience. Mark’s view is: When RapidAdvance and SFNet members integrate their businesses in a strategic and collaborative way, both businesses grow and enhance their core businesses.

In his previous role as RapidAdvance’s senior vice president of sales and marketing, Mark led the company’s national TV campaign, making it the first company in their industry to launch a national TV initiative. This strategic move deftly differentiated RapidAdvance from its competition.

Mark joined RapidAdvance in 2007, growing his role from director of sales, to senior vice president of sales and marketing to his current role. He played a pivotal role in the growth of RapidAdvance from 20 team members, when he joined the company, to the current more than 200 team members and offices in three states.

Mark graduated from Georgetown University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts.

In the community, Mark and his wife, Margaux, manage a nonprofit called Aurora’s Lights that raises funds to help find a cure for cystic fibrosis. It is named for their niece, Aurora, who has cystic fibrosis. Passionate about the cause, they have organized, hosted and participated in various events. They also support Operation Smile and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Mark is an avid sports fan, supporting the Hoyas, New York Yankees and the New York Giants.

He lives in Annapolis with his wife, Margaux, and their two sons, Dominic and Donovan.

When informed he was one of the SFNet 40 Under 40 recipients, Mark said, “This honor is a good reminder that success comes when you do the right thing. For me, doing the right thing means finding ways to better service our clients. Small businesses are the backbone of our country and they need our support. Through partnerships, we can all service our clients better, by giving them a centralized platform of offerings. Ultimately, enhancing your partner’s value-add proposition can open new growth opportunities for your core business and clients get what they need … now, that’s winning!”

His nominator, Jeremy Brown, chairman of RapidAdvance, said, “Mark takes a personal interest in helping his colleagues grow their careers by providing mentoring and guidance. He is willing to go outside of his role to contribute and lead initiatives for the greater good of the company.”
