Biography:

Mark Seigel is president of Veritas Financial Partners, which he co-founded in 2011.  He is a member of the firm’s Credit Committee.

During Mark’s tenure at Veritas, he has led its operations, finance, marketing and business development departments.  He has also served in underwriting and portfolio management capacities during the firm’s first year in operation.   In Mark’s current capacity as president, he is focused on the firm’s overall growth and marketplace development, as well as its relationship with its equity sponsor, its lender and bank syndication partners.

Prior to joining Veritas, Mark was most recently chief investment officer of BMD Management Company, a closely held private equity firm that managed assets for high-net-worth families.  In this capacity, Mark was responsible for evaluating and overseeing public and private investments in the commercial real estate, specialty finance and banking sectors.  He also served as the chief financial officer for the firm’s publicly traded investment company.

In addition to managing various business initiatives, Mark established a direct origination team in January 2015 to further grow the Veritas brand, support existing business development officers, develop new leads, and help make Veritas a well-known name throughout the industry and beyond. Mark’s pioneering efforts and strategy of building not only a successful finance company, but a great competitor in any industry, will have a far-reaching effect in just a few years.

Mark started his career with TM Capital, a boutique investment bank focused on middle-market mergers and acquisitions.  He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in economics, with a concentration in finance, from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
