Biography:

Matthew Miller began his career at Gordon Brothers in 2005.  During this time, Matt has been promoted through various roles within the firm’s appraisal division, eventually being promoted to lead Gordon Brothers’ Industrial Inventory team in September 2010.  He now co-manages all aspects of industrial inventory valuations within Gordon Brothers appraisal division. He is responsible for the oversight of the analytical team, the review of all appraisals produced within the industrial sector and the execution of the division’s strategic objectives as it relates to daily operations. Additionally, he has continued to work closely with Gordon Brothers Japan in the development and enhancement of its appraisal platform.

In 2012 he co-authored an article titled “Regulatory Game Changers:  Anticipating and Minimizing the Impact of Regulatory Shifts on Asset Valuation and Loan Portfolios” for The Secured Lender. 

Prior to joining Gordon Brothers in 2005, Matt was a senior associate with Great American Group. During his five years with Great American, he produced appraisals within the wholesale, retail and industrial inventory classifications, covering billions of dollars of inventory. Earlier in his career, as an auditor with KPMG, Matt performed various audit procedures for clients in the public and nonprofit fields. He received his BS in accounting from Bentley University and is an accredited senior member of the American Society of Appraisers (Machinery and Technical Specialties designation). 

Matt currently resides in Hanover, MA with his wife, Jillian.  They welcomed their first child, a girl, in August 2016.
