Biography:

Rob Chimenti is responsible for originating, structuring, and executing senior and junior capital solutions for middle and lower middle market companies within the Corporate Finance Group at Garrison Investment Group. Rob also leads Capital Markets and Syndication efforts.  Prior to joining Garrison Investment Group in 2008, Rob was employed by Morgan Stanley, Global Capital Markets, where he was a Vice President in the Leveraged Finance Group. His responsibilities included originating, structuring, underwriting, investing in, and syndicating senior financing transactions at various corporate stages. Previous to his position at Morgan Stanley, Rob was employed by The CIT Group, Inc. for 7 years. At The CIT Group, Inc., he held various roles including underwriting and executing transactions, and managing a portfolio of accounts. Mr. Chimenti is experienced in asset based and cash flow secured lending, for purposes of acquisitions, mergers, leveraged buyouts, and bankruptcy and reorganization transactions. Mr. Chimenti graduated with a B.S. in Accountancy from Villanova University in 1998.

Having worked at CIT and Morgan Stanley for a combined 10 years, Rob is well connected with ABL units across the country.  Rob believes that one of the most important aspects of business development at Garrison is marketing to, and building relationships within, the asset-based community, often cultivated through participation at SFNet events. At Garrison, Rob leverages his knowledge of ABL structures and documentation, and strives to be a constructive and trusted partner to asset-based lenders - helping deliver full financing solutions to companies and sponsors.   

Rob also acts as head of Capital Markets for Garrison’s private equity efforts, placing financings with ABL units for Garrison owned companies including Premier Trailer, Cosmetic Essence, and Bristol Compressors. Rob understands the importance of providing reciprocal deal flow to ABL units in relationships. 

Rob lives in New Jersey and is married with two daughters Sydney and Morgan (ages 9 and 5) and one son Brayden (age 1). In his leisure time, he coaches his daughter’s basketball and softball teams, and enjoys playing golf.
