Great Rock Capital Adds Senior Originator in Canadian Market

Westport, CT – February 28, 2022 – Great Rock Capital, an asset-focused commercial finance company specializing in middle market lending, today announced Jonathan Katz has joined the firm as Managing Director of Originations. Katz will be based in Toronto and is responsible for the continued expansion of the firm’s origination efforts across Canada.

Jonathan joins Great Rock with 25 years of experience in middle market lending across various origination and credit-focused roles. Most recently, he was Managing Director at Stonebriar Commercial Finance, where he focused on origination efforts across Canada.  In addition, Katz held origination and credit roles at Macquarie Equipment Finance, Key Equipment Finance Canada, GE Capital, and IBM Canada. Katz holds a Bachelor of Business Commerce from The University of South Africa and a postgraduate degree in International Financial Management from The Damelin School of Business.
