NEW YORK (August 5, 2024) – Holland & Knight has strengthened its Financial Services Team with the addition of Nneoma Maduike as a partner in New York. Ms. Maduike was previously a partner with Otterbourg P.C., where she was co-head of the Lender Finance practice.
"We are thrilled to welcome Nneoma to Holland & Knight. Her broad experience as a debt finance attorney in New York and her national leadership in the asset-based lending space perfectly aligns with our strategic goals, both regionally and nationally," said Cindy Brazell, co-chair of the firm's national Financial Services Practice Group. "Her addition to the group significantly strengthens our finance capabilities in New York and solidifies our commitment to serving the growing needs of our clients in this sector."
Ms. Maduike's particular experience in asset-based lending will also bolster the firm's nationally recognized Asset-Based Lending (ABL) Team, capping off a series of high-profile additions in the last two years, including partners in Chicago and Los Angeles.
"I can't imagine a better addition to our team at a better time," said Wade Kennedy, co-head of the Asset-Based Lending Team. "Nneoma's particular strength in middle-market ABL transactions aligns with a general uptick in activity nationally, and she will be able to draw on the experience and support of the entire ABL team in expanding her practice in New York and beyond," added Chris Dillon, co-head of the Asset-Based Lending Team.
Ms. Maduike represents many of the largest U.S. and global institutional lenders, regional banks, hedge and private equity funds, commercial finance companies and numerous specialty finance companies. She has extensive experience structuring, documenting and negotiating secured and unsecured loan transactions, including asset-based financings, cash flow and structured finance, syndicated and mezzanine financings, lender finance transactions, loan workouts and restructurings.
"I am very excited to join Holland & Knight and become part of its growing Financial Services practice in New York," said Ms. Maduike. "Holland & Knight's commitment to my practice area, its commitment to partner and associate development and its collaborative culture well position me, and the clients I serve, to thrive. I am delighted to be part of the team."
Ms. Maduike earned a J.D. degree from Northeastern University School of Law and received a B.A. from Rutgers University.
