KeyBank announced that Jonathan Munro has been named senior director of business banking for KeyBank. In this role, Munro is responsible for building KeyBank’s future operating strategy for the business banking segment of the Consumer Bank, which includes building and strengthening client relationships and growing capabilities in cash management, payments, and other business banking products and services. He will also cultivate partnerships with the commercial banking division to provide well-rounded solutions for KeyBank clients.

Munro has been with KeyBank for more than seven years, and previously served as regional retail leader for KeyBank’s Colorado, Idaho, Utah, and Oregon markets. He’s also held the role of area retail leader, directing Colorado’s North region to transformational growth and overseeing 15 branches from North Denver to Fort Collins. Prior to joining Key, he held various positions of increasing responsibility over 10 years with Wells Fargo.

“Jon’s deep experience in business and commercial banking, combined with his leadership skills and genuine desire to see our clients succeed, make him uniquely qualified for this role,” said Mike Walters, executive vice president and head of business banking for KeyBank. “I look forward to seeing him leverage his skills and experience to serve our community, clients and employees, and help our clients run their business better.”

Munro received a Master of Business Administration degree from Regis University and a bachelor’s degree in finance from Florida Atlantic University. He is a board member for the Emily Griffith Foundation, and past board member for the Denver Rescue Mission, Intercambio Uniting Communities and the Latin American Educational Foundation.
