The Current Ratio measures ability to service obligations due in 12 months with current assets. Since current assets are considered liquid they are more easily converted to cash to repay current obligations/liabilities. The ratio is calculated as Current Assets divided by Current Liabilities. A ratio greater than one denotes the entity has enough liquid assets to repay current obligations.
