Description
The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is causing widespread disruption for consumers and businesses all over the world. The situation is unprecedented, fast moving and with severe impacts. Businesses at every level face unique challenges at the moment, but perhaps none more so than retailers. We have witnessed retailers across the globe close their doors and now, more recently, unilaterally extending terms for payment and cancelling deliveries.Join industry leaders for an SFNet Roundtable from 12:00-1:00 p.m. ET on Wednesday, April 22, 2020. This online Roundtable will feature a live video of invited thought leaders who will discuss how the retailers’ actions are affecting lenders and how lenders can respond.
We will address:
1. With retailers temporarily closing their doors, taking extended terms and cancelling deliveries, how has this impacted their lenders’ collateral?
2. How should lenders respond to their clients’ requests for extended terms? How else can they work with their clients?
3. When we come out of this, should lenders make changes to their normal lending practices?
Panelists:
Dan Fiorillo, Partner, Otterbourg P.C.
Alan Kupferman, VP Sales, Euler Hermes
Larry Klaff, Sr. Managing Director, Gordon Brothers Finance Company
Steve McDonald, President, Global Merchant Fund
Rob Meyers, President, Republic Business Credit
Jennifer Palmer, CEO, Gerber Finance, Inc.
Jaime Ward, Head of Retail Finance Group, Citizens Bank
