Entrepreneur Night is returning! Join us for a fun evening with hors d'oeuvres, cocktails, games and prizes, and a fireside chat with local entrepreneurs, Jon Birdsong and Michael Williamson (bios below). After they speak, bays will be open to hit some golf balls.
Michael Williamson
Michael Williamson is an experienced tech entrepreneur with a track record of success. With two previous successful software companies, Michael has made significant contributions to the K12 public education markets. His first company as CEO was Horizon Software which was the market leader in K12 supply chain and food management systems before being acquired by Roper Technologies (NYSE: ROP) in 2008. He then founded and served as CEO of IO Education, specializing in student data analytics and formative assessment, which was later acquired by Insight Partners in 2018. These two companies made an impact in all 50 states serving over 25,000 schools and over 10 million students. Today, Michael is a Co-Founder and CEO of Intown Golf Club, a private social club for golf enthusiasts based in Atlanta, where he continues to innovate and lead in the world of technology and golf.
Jon Birdsong
Jon Birdsong is a Co-Founder of Intown Golf Club. Five years ago, he, Michael Williamson, and David Cummings sat down at Jack’s Deli to discuss the challenges around access to golf in every NFL-sized city. The original idea of Intown Golf Club spawned. Today, over 140 employees serve over 1000 members across two clubs — with three more starting construction across the country with opening dates in 2024. Jon is also a Partner at Atlanta Ventures where he serves entrepreneurs through content, community and capital.
