Top 5 Apps for Organizing
March 7, 2019
By Tessa Brend
EverNote
Google Play rating: 4.5/5 stars
EverNote is a single place for your notes, ideas, lists and reminders. Popular features include web clipping, multi-device sync, document scanning, and note templates for work, school, and life. You can bring your team together to work in EverNote and connect your favorite apps like Google Drive and Outlook together for even greater ease.
There are three plans: Basic, Premium and Business. The Basic app is free and has less features but still allows you to capture and organize notes, files, photos, and voice memos in one place. You can find all your files on any device you have and know that the secure cloud storage will always keep your information protected and private.
MyBeeHyve
Google Play rating: 3.7/5 stars
This app
doesn’t have as high of a rating as some of the others listed but I personally
use it and find it very helpful. The app
works like your own personal virtual assistant and acts as a Customer
Relationship Management (CRM) tool. You
can create tasks and activities, set goals and monitor your project, send bulk
email to your contacts, and track activity history.
If you meet someone new at a networking event, you can put their information in the app and add notes about what you discussed, set a time to follow up, and the app will remind you via email or text on that day. You’ll see the notes to remind you how you connected and what your follow up action should be. You’ll never miss a lead or new reference. As with the other apps, there are free and pro versions available.
Trello
Google Play rating: 4.5/5 stars
Trello is a
great app for work and for managing products.
It’s a pretty visual place for collaboration.
This is a great app to use with co-workers or family members. You can assign tasks to yourself or colleagues and comment on items with your friends and coworkers. Trello is known for creating boards to organize anything you’re working on and everything is simple to use solo or to invite people to collaborate with you.
Each board you create you can see information at a glance and then dive deeper. You can add members, create labels and checklists, add due dates, and attach photos from Google Drive or upload them. You can use the app for basic lists, but I think it’s best served for a home improvement project, planning an event, or a goal or project at work.
And it’s free to use!
24me
Google Play rating: 4.0/5 stars
24me is another personal assistant app, who doesn’t need one of those right? A cool feature from this app is you can use your voice to add tasks and events to the app with Amazon Alexa and Siri, without even opening the app. It’s also available for Apple Watch. The app automatically generates personal reminders, organizes your schedule and auto-completes tasks and errands.
There’s a great multi-view calendar, multiple day to-do lists, notes that include photos, and more. The app takes care of business and personal needs and you can even send gifts to your loved ones from the 24me gift store. More than just telling you the location of your meeting or event, the location tab provides a detailed map of your destination and provides the time it will take you to get there. When you’re ready to go, 24me will open your default navigation app and send you on your way. This app really does it all!
Cozi
Google Play rating: 4.4/5 stars
Cozi is a totally free, must-have app for families. Features include calendar, shopping lists, to do lists, recipes and meal planner, and a few unique functions. The Family Journal lets you snap a pic and save it. You can send the picture with some text via email to grandparents or other family members easily as well or through a private website. For the fall, Cozi has also added schedules for your favorite football team. Pick your college or NFL team and add them and Cozi will add all games to your calendar and update as changes are made.
The calendar is the best for coordinating family schedules. Each family member gets their own color assigned to them and when you view the calendar at a glance you can easily see what event ties to each member of your family. You can send reminders to your family members through the app too so no one misses an appointment or an event.
I hope one, or more, of these apps are helpful for your work or home life. Here’s to getting organized!
