(STAMFORD, CT) February 21, 2023 – Webster Bank today announced that Ann Meade has been promoted to Regional President, Boston and Managing Director, Commercial Lending, leading Middle Market Banking, in the Greater Boston market.
Meade has been a strong presence in the Boston marketplace for Webster and has been instrumental in driving the success of the Middle Market Group in Boston. In her new role, she will expand her focus to the entire Webster team in Boston and will coordinate Webster’s business and community affairs activities.
“Ann is a well-respected seasoned banker and has been an integral part of Webster’s success in the Boston market for 13 years,” said Chris Motl, President, Commercial Banking. “In addition to being highly skilled in developing new business relationships, under Ann’s leadership, Webster will also continue to be an important partner in the communities we serve throughout Greater Boston. Her industry knowledge and broad network will ensure our continued success in the region.”
Meade joined Webster Bank in 2010 as Senior Vice President, Commercial Lending, providing working capital, acquisition, buy-out, equipment and real estate financing as well as treasury management and other banking services to family-owned and publicly held companies. She has deep experience serving the needs of professional service firms, manufacturers, wholesalers and not-for-profit organizations.
Prior to joining Webster, Meade spent two decades as Senior Vice President, Commercial Lending for Citizens Bank in Boston and Vice President, Commercial Banking for Fleet Bank in Boston.
“It is an honor and a privilege to lead an incredibly talented and dedicated team at Webster Bank,” said Meade. “I have lived and worked in Boston for more than three decades and feel a deep connection to this community and the businesses that make it thrive. I am excited about the opportunity to build on the already strong foundation that Webster Bank has with businesses in Massachusetts and help both the bank and the clients we serve continue to grow and succeed.”
Active in her community, Meade serves on the Board of Directors for Boston Senior Home Care and the Corporate Advisory Council for The Women’s Edge.
Meade earned a BBA in Finance from the University of Vermont.
