Financial Statements
Financial Statement Analysis is an overview curriculum designed to help participants become more comfortable with financial statement interpretation and analysis. This course is beneficial for Analysts, Underwriters and Account Managers with less than two years of experience and continues to be one of our most popular curriculum offerings.
Financial Statement Analysis explores:
- The importance of financial analysis in asset-based lending;
- Why asset-based lending is not just about the collateral;
- The basic framework for reviewing and understanding a balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement;
- What to look for in projections;
- How a 13-week cash-flow is compiled and what it is used for;
- Understanding and identifying which financial tests are pertinent to individual situations;
- Completing and interpreting basic financial ratios;
- Financial covenant establishment; and,
- Predicting financial hardships of the borrower and how to mitigate.
Financial Statement Analysis allows participants to “get behind the numbers.” It is recommended for all experience levels and is suitable for anyone with risk management responsibilities.
